用日常動詞說明這個系統的行為：它感測、預測、決定、創作、驅動。把動詞說出來，更容易思考系統會影響什麼，以及哪裡可能出錯。

由誰完成最後一步：以簡明的系統層級訊號，表示有多少環節不需人力即可運作，並顯示在它所標示的動詞上。這是對部署情形的概括描述，不是技術稽核。
由人決定這個系統提供建議或資訊；任何結果生效前，都由人做出決定。例如：分流工具為臨床人員排列個案順序，由臨床人員選擇先看哪一位。
由人監督或執行這個系統自行算出結果；由人監督、可介入，或由人親自執行結果。例如：最佳化工具規劃當天的收運路線，再由司機照著行駛。
自行運作這個系統自行決定並使結果生效，不需有人逐一審查。例如：道路通行費隨車流變化自動調整費率並扣款。

When to use it
選擇讀者看得懂的動詞，通常一到三個就夠。若要標示自主程度，請在最下游的動詞上設定「人為參與」，作為系統層級的訊號；只有在其他動詞所處階段確實不同時，才另行設定；若會造成混淆，則省略不設。
