DTPR

The DTPR standard, its icons, taxonomy, these docs, the MCP server, the REST API and the agent skills, is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence, as established by the original Digital Transparency in the Public Realm contributors in 2019 and maintained by Helpful Places.

Portions of the DTPR icons incorporate elements of, or are derived from, the Material Symbols and Icons, available under the Apache License 2.0.

Risks taxonomy (risks_mitigation)

The risk taxonomy in the Risks & Mitigation category is adapted from the AIAAIC Collaborative, Human-Centred Taxonomy of AI, Algorithmic, and Automation Harms. AIAAIC's nine harm types, Autonomy, Physical, Psychological, Reputational, Financial & Business, Human Rights & Civil Liberties, Societal & Cultural, Political & Economic and Environmental, organise the DTPR risk category from the affected person's perspective: what could happen to a person, not where the failure originates in the system.

Risk elements adapted from AIAAIC in the risks_mitigation categoryCC BY-SA 4.0 (inherited from AIAAIC)

The ShareAlike clause on AIAAIC-derived content is scoped to the risk-taxonomy content itself. Downstream users who redistribute or modify the risks_mitigation element definitions must distribute their modifications under CC BY-SA 4.0. The rest of DTPR remains CC BY 4.0.

Contributing back

Gaps or extensions identified while authoring the DTPR risk catalogue that are also relevant to AIAAIC's general-purpose taxonomy, for example harm framings specific to AI deployment, will be proposed back to the AIAAIC working group as upstream contributions, in the spirit of the ShareAlike licence.

Per-element citation

Every category or element adapted from an external source also carries that source in its sources[] array. For the risk taxonomy it sits on the risks_mitigation category; other elements, such as those shaped by the EU AI Act, carry their own. Each entry has { type, title, url, citation }, and you can read it through the MCP get_element tool or the REST element detail endpoint. The sources[] array is the authoritative record; this page is the human-readable summary.
